About me

Hello, I’m Serap

a wanderer at heart – I travel as often as I can. With Turkish roots, I’ve called Germany, Türkiye and South Africa home. Today, I’m based in Berlin and Istanbul. I speak three languages fluently and I’m learning Spanish and Arabic.

Teaching German to people from around the world has been part of my life since 2020, and every lesson teaches me something too. I’m currently studying forced migration and refugee support – I want to understand why people leave their homes and how they can truly arrive somewhere new. It was my love of Islamic and pre-Islamic history that brought me to Ebru, the art of painting on water.

Through art, language and travel, we discover history, culture, ideas and identity. We overcome language barriers and create a world where everyone belongs. Travel, art and education help us face the great challenges of our time.
